Kennedy to Lecture on Ireland During 1914-1920 Period
Thomas Kennedy, professor emeritus of history, will lecture at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in Science Engineering 101. His presentation, titled "Dublin, Easter, 1916: Ireland's Challenge to Empire, 1914-1921," commemorates the centennial of the Dublin Easter Rising of 1916, which gave birth to modern Irish Republicanism and led to the creation of the independent nation of Ireland.
The lecture is sponsored by the Department of History in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
