Syracuse Professor to Speak on the Effects of Place Based Scholarships
Robert Bifulco
Robert Bifulco, an associate professor of public administration and international affairs at Syracuse University, will speak at noon Friday, April 29, on the University of Arkansas campus. His lecture is titled "Assessing the Effects of Place Based Scholarships on Urban Revitalization: The Case of Say Yes to Education."
The lecture is part of the Department of Education Reform Lecture Series and will take place in Room 343, Graduate Education Building.
Those planning to attend any of the lectures in the series are asked to RSVP on the Department of Education Reform's website before 1 p.m. the Wednesday preceding the lecture.
Bifulco's specialties are education finance and policy as well as program evaluation. He teaches in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and is the director of graduate studies.
He received his degree from Syracuse University in 2001. He has contributed to many recent publications. Bifulco has highlighted finance and accountability in charter schools in more than eight publications in the past. He is working now on a paper called "The Relative Costs of New York City's New Small Public High Schools of Choice."
