College of Engineering Honors Outstanding Students

On Tuesday, April 26, the College of Engineering recognized several students at the annual Student Awards and Honors Reception.
"I'm very happy to be here honoring the top students in the College of Engineering," said John English, dean of the College of Engineering. "These students have all worked very hard, and they all have exciting futures ahead of them."
Ryan DuChanois, a civil engineering and Honors College student, was selected as the Outstanding Senior in civil engineering, as well as Outstanding Senior for the college.
Eight other students received Outstanding Senior Awards from their departments:

- Alexander Anderson, computer engineering
- Joseph Sirrianni,* computer science

- Samuel Jenkins,* mechanical engineering.
Ty Austin was recognized for being selected as a Presidential Scholar by the university.
Twelve students were recognized as a First Ranked Senior Scholar for having achieved a 4.0 grade point average for coursework completed on this campus:

Spring Bike Drive Refurbishes Old Bikes for New Students
All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
