University of Arkansas Music Composition Student Wins Prestigious Award
Robert Mueller and UA music honors student Ryan Key
Ryan Key, a University of Arkansas honors student, was the winner of the second W. Francis McBeth Memorial Composition Competition, with his composition "Cling," a trio for euphonium, tuba, and piano.
He was also a finalist in the 2016 John Kenneth Cole Composition Prize with his composition "Hours," a work for chamber orchestra. Key will receive a bachelor's degree this spring in music composition, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in international relations. He studied composition with Robert Mueller, professor of music composition.
