FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Rabindra Mandal and Paige Acklie have been named winners of the graduate and undergraduate divisions, respectively, of the Honors Student Board Poster Competition in the U of A's Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.

Posters were displayed in the atrium of the Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Building April 11-13 with students, faculty and staff invited to review and vote for the winners.

In the graduate division, Mandal was first, followed by Kallie Sullivan and Brianna Neumann. Mandal and Sullivan are both in poultry science while Neumann is in food science.

In the undergraduate division, Acklie placed first, followed by Lauren Cambias and Olivia Caillouet. Acklie is majoring in agribusiness, Cambias human nutrition and Caillouet horticulture.

The purpose of the competition and display was to provide students in the Bumpers College's honors program with ideas and direction for future research topics.

"We want all students to know that they do not need to wear a white lab coat to participate in quality research," said Leslie Edgar, assistant dean and director of the honors program. "This event allowed undergraduate and graduate students to share their research and assist novice researchers with ideas. I appreciate the Bumpers College Honors Student Board for its efforts and I'm grateful for the students who entered the competition."

The honors program plans to make this a regular event.
