University Recreation to Hold Summer Small Group Training Classes in New Studio

University Recreation recently renovated a racquetball court and transformed it into a fully equipped small group training and personal training studio. The UREC Train studio is located on the first floor of the HPER and will now allow a private studio space for training session with accredited personal trainers. Supporting equipment includes: TRX suspension trainers, Rip trainers, ViPR's, kettlebells, plyometric boxes, training ropes, powerlifting rack, and more.

University Recreation (UREC) is offering four Small Group Training classes this summer in the new UREC Train studio located in the HPER building. Each of the four classes will run June 20 through August 4.

UREC RazorFitness will be offered at the following class days/times: Monday and Wednesday from 11:30am-12:20pm and 5:30pm-6:20pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-6:50am and 5:30pm-6:20pm.  The cost of this class is $25 for students and $35 for UREC members.

University Recreation will be offering free Small Group Training demos June 13-16 at their normally scheduled time.

"It's hard to make time in my schedule to work out, but because a few of us signed up together I was actually able to stick to my commitment and made it to the gym twice a week throughout the semester," said Elise Swanson, UA graduate student.

"I loved all the new workouts and never felt bored or tired of doing the same old exercises, and at the end of the semester, I was able to see exactly how much muscle strength I gained thanks to the InBody test provided through this course."

Register for Small Group Training at the UREC Main Office, HPER 225, the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union or register online at urec.uark.edu under Member Services. The summer 2016 Small Group Training schedule, registration packet and more information for all session dates and times is listed below on urec.uark.edu
