Several University of Arkansas students received awards at the annual conference of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers in May. The conference, organized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers, is comprised of two types of sessions: Applied Solutions, showcasing proven solutions and applications from industry, and the Industrial & Systems Engineering Research Conference (ISERC), featuring research from academia and industry scholars. The ISERC, is also a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the industrial and systems engineering research community featuring industry exhibits and workshops, and student poster sessions.

During the conference students received several awards. Liliana Delgado Hidalgo, doctoral student, received the John L. Imhoff Scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year.
