Graduate Students Receive Prestigious Poster Awards at Electrochemical Society Meeting

Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry graduate students Mahsa Lotfi-Marchoubeh and Leanne Mathurin recently won first- and second-place awards, respectively, for their research posters presented at the Electrochemical Society Meeting in San Diego. The students appeared in "photo of the day," a feature of the daily announcements section of the meeting's newsletter.
Lotfi-Marchoubeh presented her research on "Redox Cycling Behavior of Catecholamines and Their Mixtures at Diffusion Distances: Steps Toward Quantitative Speciation." The title of Mathurin poster was "Electrochemical Study of Trimetallic Nanostructures for Methanol Oxidation." Lotfi-Marchoubeh is directed by Ingrid Fritsch, professor of analytical chemistry, and Mathurin is a student of Jingyi Chen, assistant professor of physical chemistry.
