Nine U of A Students Intern for Arkansas Senator

WASHINGTON – Razorback red filled U.S. Sen. John Boozman's Senate offices as nine University of Arkansas students completed a congressional internship in June.

Hannah Claire Banwarth, Amelia Dalton, Hunter Hill, Jace Motley, Hunter Pool, Jacob Prokell and Andrew Spadoni all interned in Boozman's Washington office. Brieann Waller interned at the Fort Smith office and Lauren Randall worked in the Lowell office.

"These interns have been a tremendous help to my staff and to the people of Arkansas. I appreciate their dedication and commitment to being an ambassador for our state and my office. I'm confident they found the internship rewarding and learned a lot about the work we do on behalf of Arkansans," Boozman said.

Washington interns worked with congressional staff on various state and federal projects, attended lectures from a variety of speakers, gave tours of the U.S. Capitol building and shadowed Boozman during meetings and hearings.

Interns who worked in state offices were responsible for handling local constituent correspondence, researching casework issues and representing the senator at community events alongside field representatives.
