Passionate about learning? Students, faculty and staff now have free access to Lynda.com online courses and tutorials at lynda.uark.edu. Lynda.com is a leading online learning company that helps anyone learn business, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.

With over 4,000 courses, Lynda.com gives students what they need to prepare for the career they want. Faculty can integrate training videos into any curriculum, freeing up hours of class time. Professional development and training courses empower staff to excel in new skill sets, increasing efficiency and productivity.

"Free and universal access to Lynda.com has the potential to be life changing for individuals and a game changer for the University of Arkansas," Chris McCoy, chief information officer, said. "With on-demand learning, students can supplement their business, creative and software skills, regardless of degree program. As for faculty and staff, the professional development opportunities are limitless. For example, how do you bring hundreds of faculty and staff up to speed with Microsoft Office? Rather than expensive off-site training, the University of Arkansas stays current with technology with these cost-efficient online courses."

The Lynda.com campuswide license is provided free of charge to current students, faculty and staff through a collaboration between Global Campus and IT Services.

The Global Campus Learning Technology Support team can help faculty integrate Lynda.com tutorials into their courses. Contact Shelly Walters at saw034@uark.edu or Carolyn Smith at ccsmith@uark.edu for assistance.
