Fall 2016 Hog W.I.L.D. Welcome Weeks

With the start of the fall semester right around the corner, the entire campus community is gearing up to welcome all new and returning students back to Fayetteville. From now through Sept. 3, Hog W.I.L.D. (Welcome, Involvement, Leadership & Diversity) Welcome Weeks events and activities will take place on campus.

Hog W.I.L.D. Welcome Weeks is a three-week long program at the beginning of each fall and spring semester that provides entertaining, educational, and welcoming events for all new and returning students.  A wide variety of events has been planned across campus from outdoor movies and cookouts, to student organization info sessions, and Razorback athletic events.

The Division of Student Affairs has designed specific events for first-year students during the week of Aug. 15.  These events were developed to introduce students to campus and the Northwest Arkansas community and are being financed by the University of Arkansas Parents Fund.

Events this week:

  • Thursday, Aug. 18 — Hogs Night Out at Fast Lanes, High Rise, & Golf Mountain
  • Friday, Aug. 19 — UARK Cardinal Nights
  • Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20 and 21 — Arkansas Kickstart

Details about each event and a listing of all Welcome Weeks events can be found at welcomeweeks.uark.edu. An interactive schedule available through the Guidebook App is also available for the entire campus community. The App allows you to customize the Welcome Weeks schedule and also gives you the opportunity to interact with the program through various social media outlets.
