Free Cooking Matters Class Offered Starting Oct. 3

The Full Circle Food Pantry on campus will be offering a FREE Cooking Matters cooking course, which "teaches participants to shop smarter, use nutrition information to make healthier choices and cook delicious, affordable meals."

The classes focus on teaching cooking skills while incorporating healthy, budget-friendly foods in a fun and engaging class. There will be six classes, during which participants will gain hands-on experience in the kitchen with trained instructors.

The classes will be held from 4-6 p.m. every Monday from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7. The exact days are Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Nov. 7.

Participation perks include a free bag of groceries each class to prepare the recipe at home, as well as a free reusable grocery bag and a free cutting mat! For more information on Cooking Matters, email Shiew-Wen at snaphelp@uark.edu. Volunteers for the class are also currently being sought.
