Second Annual Staff Appreciation Week at University of Arkansas Kicks off Today

The second annual Staff Appreciation Week at the University of Arkansas kicks off Monday, Oct. 10.

All staff are invited to attend Family Movie Night in The Gardens on Razorback Road. The feature film is Zootopia. From Walt Disney Animation Studios, this is a family-friendly comedy-adventure set in the modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia. Determined to prove herself, Officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) is the first bunny on Zootopia's police force. She jumps at the chance to crack her first case—even if it means partnering with scam-artist fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) to solve the mystery.

The Spirit Squad and Big Red will be there starting at 6:30 p.m. and the first 100 attendees will receive a free Razorback T-shirt. What's a movie without snacks? Popcorn and soft drinks are also being provided.

Everyone attending is encouraged to arrive by 6:30 p.m. to find a nice place to sit and enjoy the Spirit Squad with Big Red. Please bring along blankets and lawn chairs and be sure to dress for the weather. The movie will start at 7 p.m. Free parking is available for this event in Lots 56 and 56B and there is a transit stop located in Lot 56.

Also beginning Monday is the "Staff Give Back" Full Circle Pantry Food Drive.  Drop off spots will be located all over campus.  Please visit Staff Appreciate Week Events for details on this and all events for the week.  Be sure to check out Staff Appreciation Week Discounts for a list of all the local venders offering discounts to staff this week.  Share your thoughts and appreciation for our outstanding staff on social media by using #StaffSooie.
