'Just Mercy' Author, Advocate for the Unjustly Imprisoned to Speak Tonight

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Bryan Stevenson, author of “Just Mercy,” will present the University of Arkansas’ One Book, One Community lecture at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in the Reynolds Center auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Stevenson is the founder and director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. He will speak about flaws in the American legal system and his career fighting for victims of injustice.

The U of A One Book, One Community program encourages students, faculty, staff and members of the Northwest Arkansas community to read and discuss a selected book during the fall semester, then brings the author to campus to speak. The program receives financial support from the Office of the Provost.
