Panel Discussion to Focus on Science Literacy in 21st Century
Science Café panelists will discuss "Citizen Science – Science Literacy in the 21st Century" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 15 at Powerhouse restaurant in Fayetteville.
Science Café based at the University of Arkansas is sponsored in part by the U of A chapter of Sigma Xi research society, the American Chemical Society and the Arkansas Biosciences Institute. Events are free and open to the public.
Panelists will be Rob Beadel, director of forestry education for the Arkansas Forestry Association; Stephen Burgin, University of Arkansas assistant professor of secondary education science; Art Hobson, U of A professor emeritus of physics; and Lynn Hehr, director of the U of A Center for Math and Science Education and the Science Café.
