Successful First 'Meeting of the Minds' for Students and Technology Leaders

Last week, campus IT leadership held the first of what promises to be many meetings with technology-interested students. The group was established to determine how to increase awareness among the student body about technology services and for students to make leadership aware of their concerns.

"The campus technology community wants to develop an ongoing dialogue with students to determine how IT can best serve their student customers," CIO Chris McCoy said. "The creation of a Student Technology Advisory Council is important as we work to align technology with the eight guiding priorities announced by the chancellor last month."

The next meeting is from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the Arkansas Union. Students can get involved by contacting rgerner@uark.edu.
