Dobbins Awarded National Phi Beta Kappa Writing Internship

Phi Beta Kappa congratulates University of Arkansas senior Michele Dobbins for winning a competitive writing internship for the upcoming spring with The Key Reporter, PBK's national publication for news and alumni relations. Michele Dobbins was inducted into PBK Alpha Chapter of Arkansas in May 2016.
Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's most prestigious academic honors society and its membership list includes 17 presidents, 39 Supreme Court justices, more than 130 Nobel Laureates, Mark Twain and NAACP co-founder W.E.B. Du Bois, among others.
During her internship at The Reporter, Dobbins will write a series of articles for the Reporter on topics ranging from higher education to membership news. Dobbins had written feature articles for the University of Arkansas student newspaper, The Arkansas Traveler, published in The Ozark Historical Review, and presented at academic conferences. She currently works as a part-time editorial intern for Prime Publishing and will graduate in May 2017. She plans to pursue a writing and editing career.
