Tickets on Sale for U of A Apparel Program's Spring Fashion Show

Last year's benefit fashion show drew a crowd of 600 to the Fayetteville Town Center. This year's Enclothe: Futuristic Floral show is set for April 28.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Enclothe: Futuristic Floral, this year’s spring fashion show highlighting creations by University of Arkansas students, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the Fayetteville Town Center.

Juniors and seniors in the apparel merchandising and product development program in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences are designing and creating the clothes that will be modeled at the show.

Proceeds from the event help fund apparel merchandising and product development student study tours. General admission tickets are $35 and student tickets $15. Sponsorships and reserved seating are available. For more information, call AMPD at 479-575-5146 or email hesc@uark.edu.

This year the apparel students are working with electrical engineering and horticulture students on the production, lighting and floral elements of the show.

“We are proud to once again be hosting our annual fashion show and look forward to providing everyone with a fun evening,” said Betsy Garrison, director of Bumpers College’s School of Human Environmental Sciences. “The collaborative effort between apparel, engineering and horticulture students is going to result in a wonderful production.”

Last year’s show, Metal & Shine, drew a crowd of 600.
