Angels in America: Perestroika Descends on Global Campus Theatre, March 9 to 12
Emily Clarkson

The Department of Theatre in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences presents the second part of Tony Kushner's award winning masterpiece, Angels in America, running March 9 to 12. It is directed by second year M.F.A. directing candidate, Jeremiah Albers, and features a combined cast of M.F.A. acting candidates and undergraduate theatre students.

Angels in America: Perestroika continues the journey of the characters from Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, which was presented by the Department of Theatre in October 2016. Moving into the 1990s, the AIDS epidemic worsens, while old relationships crumble and new ones are built. Don't miss the stunning conclusion to this epic saga, which was winner of the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play and the Tony Award for Best Play.

Perestroika opens at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Global Campus Theatre, in the Continuing Education building on the Fayetteville square. Additional performances are at 7:30 p.m. March 10 and 11, and at 2 p.m. March 12. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for faculty, staff and seniors, and $5 for students and children under the age of 18. University of Arkansas students may attend the show for free on Thursday, or for $5 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available online at theatre.uark.edu or in the lobby of the Continuing Education building 90 minutes prior to each performance. For questions, please call 479-575-4752.

Parking is available on the square itself or in one of the public parking garages nearby. Please observe and obey all parking regulations. The Department of Theatre is not responsible for any citations accrued while attending a performance at Global Campus Theatre.
