Registration Open for One-Day Business Communications Certificate Program

ROGERS, Ark. – Registration is now open online for the Business Communications Certificate Program, a course designed to help professionals communicate effectively in the workplace.

Ryan Stearle, vice president of sales for Infinity Product Group, will teach the class from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the University of Arkansas Global Campus in Rogers, Suite 402, 3300 Market St.

The cost is $459, and lunch will be provided. U of A faculty, staff and current students get a 10 percent discount. Group rates are also available.

Any business professional who wants expertise in conveying effective, persuasive messages in the workplace should enroll, said Heather Sprandel, program organizer for the Global Campus and adjunct instructor for the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

“To get a competitive edge, professionals must sharpen their communications skills to convey information in meaningful, succinct and persuasive ways,” Sprandel said. “This program is an opportunity for professionals to build expertise in oral, written and non-verbal communications.”

Participants will explore multiple facets of written, verbal, presentation and sales skills. They will:

  • Gain an understanding of a personal brand.
  • Explore interpersonal skills and develop internal and external networks.
  • Develop executive-level skills in presenting data-driven messages.
  • Learn to choose appropriate negotiation and influence techniques and evaluate risk-management.
  • Hone ability to make sales pitches and improve selling techniques.

Those who complete the course earn a certificate of completion from the U of A Global Campus.

This is one of many professional development classes showcased on the Global Campus website.
