Business Managers Learn Human Resource Essentials at Workshop

ROGERS, Ark. – Registration is open for a two-day workshop to equip business managers with the critical knowledge needed to help reduce costs, handle challenging human resource issues, reduce legal risks and develop human capital to effectively manage profits.

The SHRM Essentials and HR for Business Managers workshop is set for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31, at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St.

The cost is $495, and lunch will be provided. U of A faculty, staff and current students get a 10 percent discount. Group rates are also available.

This Society for Human Resource Management program, developed by leading experts and legal counsel, covers a broad spectrum of human resource topics in a condensed, straightforward format. Participants can apply concepts immediately in everyday situations.

“This workshop offers a condensed format to help participants refresh their expertise, gain new knowledge, and understand recent changes to employment law,” said Darrell Rosen, workshop coordinator.

Participants can earn 14 hours of recertification credit from the Society for Human Resource Management or professional development units that can be self-reported to other certifying bodies.
