The German section of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will be administering the annual Goethe Institute Exams (levels B1, B2, and C1) on the University of Arkansas campus Saturday, April 8.

The exams are sponsored by the German government and are the only internationally recognized method of determining proficiency in the language. They are held each year both in Germany and in over 100 countries around the world and are used to demonstrate German competency to employers and institutions of higher learning.

The University of Arkansas is a major testing center in the south, and Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures associate professor Jennifer Hoyer is the testing chair.

Interested participants with at least advanced level German skills (GERM 3003/4003 or equivalent) can contact Hoyer at jhoyer@uark.edu for more information and testing details.
