Online Registration Is Open for U of A Play Therapy Conference June 16-17

The University of Arkansas Office of Play Therapy Research and Training offers its third summer conference June 16 and 17 in Fayetteville with Theresa Kestly as the featured speaker.

The conference is presented by the U of A counselor education program and the Arkansas Association for Play Therapy. Professionals can save money on the enrollment cost by registering online by 5 p.m. Friday, April 14. There is also a student rate. Professionals can earn 12 hours of continuing education credit.

The conference will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn on June 16 and at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on June 17.

Kestly is a clinical psychologist, educator, consultant and a registered play therapist-supervisor. She specializes in play therapy and sand tray therapy with children, adults, families and couples in her private practice in Corrales, New Mexico. She is the author of The Interpersonal Neurobiology of Play: Brain-Building Interventions for Well-Being, part of the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology. She is the founder and director of the Sand Tray Training Institute of New Mexico, and she is a past president of the New Mexico Association for Play Therapy.
