SAA and ASG Honor Most Outstanding Faculty Members

From left: Michelle Kim, Ronna Turner and Mechelle Bailey were designated 'Most Outstanding Faculty Members' for 2016-17 by Student Alumni Association and Associated Student Government.

Mechelle Bailey of the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food, and Life Sciences, Michelle Kim of the College of Engineering, and Ronna Turner of the College of Education and Health Professions were named "Most Outstanding Faculty Members" at the Student Alumni Association and Associated Student Government's annual Faculty Appreciation Banquet last week.

Bailey was nominated by Taylor Farr, Kim was nominated by Danielle Zapata, and Turner was nominated by Sandra Bullins.

Students nominated faculty members through an application process and a selection panel of undergraduate and graduate students selected ten finalists. In addition to Bailey, Kim, and Turner, finalists were:

  • Heather Walker of the College of Engineering

  • John Murry, Jr. of the College of Education and Health Professions

  • Kristina Howlett of the College of Education and Health Professions

  • Lauren Lambert of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

  • Molly Rapert of the Sam M. Walton College of Business

  • Robyn Ledbetter of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

  • Stephen Caldwell of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

ASG and SAA honored these faculty members at the 17th annual Faculty Appreciation Banquet at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on April 11, 2017. ASG and SAA would like to thank all faculty members for their hard work and dedication to students.
