Belarus Officials and Business Leaders to Visit World Trade Center Arkansas

ROGERS, Ark. – Oleg Kravchenko, the deputy minister of foreign affairs for the Republic of Belarus, and Aliaksandr Zabella, chair of the Belarus State Food Industry Concern, will visit the World Trade Center Arkansas at 2 p.m. Tuesday May 2, for an inbound trade mission to increase bilateral trade and educational exchange with Arkansas.

Members of the trade delegation include business leaders from prominent Belarusian companies like Minsk Kristall, the largest producer of alcoholic beverages in Belarus, Kommunarka and Slodych, some of the largest manufacturers of confectionary items in Belarus.

The World Trade Center Arkansas is inviting the participation of Arkansas companies who are interested in doing business with Belarus. Detailed information and a full list of the participants is available upon request. Pavel Schidlovsky, the charge d’affaires of the Embassy for Belarus in Washington, D.C., will take questions from the media at 2:15 p.m. Contact Sam Cushman at scushman@arwtc.org.

Other members of the delegation include Pavel Schidlovsky, the charge d’affaires of the Embassy for Belarus in Washington, D.C.; Geert Visser, honorary consul for the Republic of Belarus in Houston; Henadz Chorny, director general for the Mogilev Branch of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Viktar Nekrashevich, deputy chair of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.

The World Trade Center Arkansas is helping to organize the inbound trade mission and is arranging meetings with economic development leaders in the state.
