Prospective Graduate Students Visit U of A Campus
The Graduate School recently hosted a preview day for students interested in pursuing graduate education at the University of Arkansas. Nearly 30 prospective students from Arkansas and the surrounding states attended the biannual event.
"Preview Day is our chance to showcase the many research and professional development opportunities at the Graduate School," said Lynn Mosesso, director of graduate and international recruitment and admissions. "We encourage students to visit our campus and learn firsthand of the possibilities that await them once they become graduate students at the University of Arkansas"
While on campus, the prospects were given tips on how to create a competitive application and how to fund a graduate degree. Additionally, the prospects asked questions of current graduate students, met with faculty members from their programs of interest and toured campus.
"This was by far the best preview day I've been to, thus far," said a student in attendance from Arkansas Tech University. "It far exceeded my expectations and made me view the U of A in a much better light than I had already had of the university. The professor I met with was so patient with me and answered all of my questions. He never made me feel like he was pressed for time. I am very happy I choose to visit this university."
The Graduate School will host another preview day on December 1. Students interested in attending or students interested in learning more about graduate programs offered at the University of Arkansas should contact the graduate recruitment and admissions office.
