College of Education and Health Professions Honors Faculty for Teaching, Research, Service

The College of Education and Health Professions honored its faculty award winners at an end-of-semester meeting May 5.
Each year, the College Council accepts nominations and chooses the recipients.
"Our college is fortunate to have such an outstanding group of world-class faculty. They are here from all over the United States, and the world, and it is our good fortune to recognize several of them every year," said Michael Miller, dean of the college. "They excel in teaching and conducting research. Additionally, they serve their students through mentoring and advising as well as the campus community and their professional organizations through volunteering and leadership."
The faculty members honored and the awards they received:
- David Christian, assistant professor of counselor education, Innovative Teaching Award
- Kimberly Frazier, associate professor of communication disorders, Outstanding Mentoring and Advising Award
- Kaitlin Gallagher, assistant professor of kinesiology, Rising STAR Award
- Jay Greene, Distinguished Professor of education reform, Significant Research Award
- Lynn Koch, professor of rehabilitation education and research, Significant Research Award
- Susan Mayes, instructor of kinesiology, Career Faculty Award
- Leslie Jo Shelton, clinical assistant professor of higher education, Superior Service Award
- Ronna Turner, associate professor of educational statistics and research methods, George Denny STAR Award
