University Recreation's summer schedule of Group Fitness classes will begin Monday, May 22, and last until Thursday, Aug. 4. There are currently over 50 classes scheduled throughout the week with a variety of formats and class times. View the full Summer 2017 Group Fitness schedule at the Summer 2017 Group Fitness schedule.

University of Arkansas students, faculty, and staff are eligible to take Group Fitness classes at no cost. All other UREC membership types must purchase a Semester Group Fitness Pass for $40.00, which includes Group Fitness for both facilities. All classes are available on a drop-in basis. Registration is required once per year, and can be done either at the UREC membership office or at the class location. For additional information, visit our the UREC Membership page.

"I took classes at the HPER as a student and again now as a staff member. The facilities are excellent and the instructors are the best in Fayetteville," said Julie Sevier, grant specialist in Research and Sponsored Programs. "There is such a wide variety of classes and times to choose from that there is really no excuse to not participate."

UREC is also offering Small Group Training Classes from Monday, June 19, through Thursday, Aug. 4, in our recently renovated UREC Train Studio on the first floor of the HPER. This summer, Fitness/Wellness will be offering both UREC RazorFitness and TRX & Kettlebell. Small Group Training classes are $25 for students and $35 for UREC members. These classes are more individualized than large group fitness classes, but still gives a community feel with up to six participants per class. The UREC personal training staff will provide all of the tips, tools, and motivation necessary to achieve fitness goals while utilizing our specialized exercise equipment. If you would like to try out these classes, try one of the free demos offered Monday, June 12, through Thursday, June 15, during regularly scheduled class times, which can be found on the Small Group Training page.

If you are interested in a workout routine with an even greater level of customization, UREC's personal training sessions may be a perfect fit. These sessions are $28 for students and $32 for UREC members. You will have the opportunity to work with one of our certified personal trainers, who will program a workout routine that is designed to fully meet your individual needs and goals. More information can be found on our Personal Training website.
