The State International Development Organizations has named Dan Hendrix, president and chief executive officer of the World Trade Center Arkansas as a new member of their leadership board. SIDO organizes its board with regional leaders and Hendrix of Arkansas and Paul Grossman of Virginia have been named the regional leaders for the South.

SIDO is the only national organization exclusively dedicated to supporting state-level international trade development agencies such as the World Trade Center Arkansas. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization.

"As the president and CEO for the World Trade Center Arkansas, Dan provides a wealth of knowledge and insights about boosting state international trade that is invaluable to our SIDO members," said Andy Karellas, executive director of SIDO. "Being positioned in the World Trade Center, Dan has a unique perspective on how states can better coordinate and utilize resources to meet their international and economic goals."

The World Trade Center Arkansas recently attended the annual SIDO conference in Washington, D.C., last week. This conference featured seminars and educational sessions. Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, and Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin gave keynote presentations at this event.

"SIDO is dedicated to sharing innovative ideas and resources among its members," said Hendrix. "The organization advocates the interests of states in trade promotion and serves American exporters. As a a member of the leadership, we can pool our experience in export promotion with fellow members of this organization so that each of us can benefit from the other's contributions to trade development."

The mission of the World Trade Center Arkansas is to grow trade and increase Arkansas exports by connecting Arkansas businesses to the world through international trade services.
