UA Children's Choir Hold Open Auditions

The University of Arkansas Children's Choir is currently holding open auditions. The UACC is looking for young people, grades 2-12, to join the choral group, now in their 20th year. If you have children who love to sing, the UACC might be right for you!

The UACC began in 1997 and is now one of the region's most distinguished youth choral programs. The group of over 100 students focuses on singing a diverse selection of choral music, including pieces from a variety of languages and cultures. Singers in the program also learn performance skills, sight singing, ear training, and music theory.

In the past, the UACC has performed at Razorback Baseball and Northwest Arkansas Naturals games and have been featured in performances with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and U of A's Schola Cantorum and University Symphony Orchestra. The group has gone on tour to St. Louis, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Final arrangements are being made for UACC's 2018 tour to Ireland!

Additional audition dates will be June 14 and July 3 from 6-7 p.m. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening, beginning Sept. 8, on the U of A campus.
