FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Post-menopausal women are needed for a nutrition study examining the effect of cranberry juice consumption on the microbial composition in the intestinal vaginal tract.

The Microbiome Lab, located in the Biomass Research Center, is looking for research participants who are female, post-menopausal and have not had any medical conditions and major surgery recently.

The study requires four visits to the Food Science Department at 2650 N. Young Avenue, Fayetteville. The first visit usually lasts 10-15 minutes and the subsequent visits are for the return of the collected samples. Lab visits consist of measuring height and weight, during the first visit only, taking a couple of surveys, receiving the two tested juices with detailed instructions how to consume and collect the stool and vaginal samples. Upon bringing back the samples participants will receive $25 gift cards each time.
