New Teachers Can Apply for Possible $250 for Classroom Needs

First-year teachers in Northwest Arkansas have until 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, to apply for the opportunity to receive $250 from the Northwest Arkansas Education Renewal Zone to buy classroom supplies.

An application is available on the ERZ website. Criteria are also listed on the website. The Northwest Arkansas Education Renewal Zone is based in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas.

The Arkansas General Assembly established Education Renewal Zones around the state in 2003 to help improve public school performance and student academic achievement. The Northwest ERZ is a collaborative effort between the University of Arkansas, the Northwest Arkansas Education Services Cooperative, partner schools, and community organizations.
