Faculty and staff with current University Recreation memberships can now renew their memberships online at the UREC website, which can be found by visiting urec.uark.edu and clicking on Member Services. Locker and towel service can also be renewed online by faculty, staff, and students.

Current faculty and staff members can also utilize payroll deduction (to renew memberships, locker and towel service) by sending an e-mail to Linda Fricke at lfricke@uark.edu with their name, e-mail address, and requested renewals (semester or annual, individual or individual and family, locker and towel service, etc.).

Those who plan to purchase a new membership must sign up in person at the UREC Main Office, which is located in the HPER Building at HPER 225.

The UREC Main Office is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday. An office is also available at the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

UREC membership provides access to a wide variety of facilities, programs, and activities to help anyone reach their fitness and recreation goals, relieve stress, or simply have fun. One of the most popular amenities available to UREC members is access to two on-campus fitness centers: the Donna Axum Fitness Center in the HPER building and the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union. Both facilities include a diverse selection of cardio equipment, free weights, and selectorized strength training equipment.

Additional benefits include access to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a running track, bouldering and climbing walls, free day lockers, and the ability to check out informal recreation equipment at no extra cost.
