Faculty Appreciation Luncheon at Ella's Restaurant, honoring University Housing's Adopt-a-Prof participants.

Faculty members are invited to join University Housing's Adopt-A-Prof program

Participants will partner with University Housing's residence hall staff to engage with students living in that residential community.

As an honorary member of the residential community, faculty participants will interact with the residents and staff on an informal but intentional level while being fully integrated into the programming aspects of the residence hall.

This type of interaction connects students' academic pursuits with their lives outside of the classroom.

Faculty members will gain the opportunity to serve as a mentor and share their own topical perspective and life experiences with residents. Events like a floor movie night, sponsored study break or attending a Razorback sporting event together provide ample opportunities for staff to mentor students.

Faculty members participating in this program will be invited to an appreciation reception at the end of the year and will receive letters of recognition from University Housing for their collaboration and support.

If interested in serving an Adopt-A-Prof, please complete the following form by Sept. 15 at orgsync.com/150679/forms/263211.

You will be invited to an information session later in September to receive more detailed information.

If you have immediate questions, please email Stephanie G. Adams at sgadams@uark.edu.
