Northwest Arkansas Alumni Chapter to Host Pig Sooie 'Par-Tee' and Scramble
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Alumni Association and the Northwest Arkansas Chapter invite the public to attend Pig Sooie "Par-Tee" Kick-Off event and the Pig Sooie Scramble: Dollars for Scholars Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
The Pig Sooie "Par-Tee" will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House. There will be food, drinks, a silent auction and more as they kick-off the 2017 Pig Sooie Scramble Golf Tournament. The “Par-tee” is open to the public and tickets are $10 each. The Pig Sooie Scramble is a four-person scramble for 18 holes. Proceeds fund the scholarships awarded by the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Alumni Association. Each year, rising juniors and seniors from the Northwest Arkansas area may apply and are chosen based on merit and need.
The Scramble will be held at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fayetteville. Alumni and friends are invited to attend a fun day of playing golf while supporting college students. The winners of the tournament will have the opportunity to play in the Acura College Alumni Championship in Pinehurst, N.C.
Activities will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Paradise Valley Golf Course at 3728 Old Missouri Road in Fayetteville. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start will begin at 12:30 p.m.
