Kim Needy, dean of the Graduate School and International Education, has been selected to serve on the GRE Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

The Graduate Record Examinations, or GRE, are standardized tests offered to students seeking admission to graduate schools across the country.

"I am honored to be asked to serve on this committee and look forward to advancing the committee's mission to improve testing for all GRE test takers," Needy said.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee is a component of the GRE Program governance structure. The committee members review plans and programs related to fairness in GRE testing, access to GRE tests and equality of opportunity to prepare effectively for admission to graduate school.

Needy's term on the committee is three years and will end in September 2020.
