Training Available on 'Disability and Religious Reasonable Accommodations'
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance will offer a training session for managers and supervisors as an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts regarding employment discrimination based on disability and religion and the reasonable accommodation request process.
The session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct.ober 5 at the NWQuad B in Room B108. Please register via the OEOC Training Portal at oeoctraining.uark.edu as seating is limited.
The training will include the following:
- Requirements and definitions
- Reasonable Accommodations Request Process
- Types of reasonable accommodations
- Undue Hardship
- Supervisor’s obligations and role
- Confidentiality and Retaliation
If you are unable to attend this session, please feel free to submit a “Training by Request” on the OEOC Training Portal at oeoctraining.uark.edu to request a training or to be alerted when another training is scheduled.
