New York Classical Players on Tour in Arkansas
The University of Arkansas Department of Music is welcoming The New York Classical Players to campus at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center. The New York Classical Players are touring Arkansas this week and have been so kind as to give us a performance! Under the direction of Dongmin Kim, the Players will perform works by Eric Nathan, J.S. Bach, and Dmitri Shostakovich. Also included on the concert will be an arrangement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58 featuring UAMusic's Dr. Tomoko Kashiwagi.
Founded in 2010, the NYCP is a professional chamber orchestra dedicated to bringing high-level concerts to diverse audiences in New York City and beyond. The New York Classical Players have collaborated with Kim Kashkashian, Cho-Liang Lin, Stefan Jackiw, and many other world renowned performing artists. Tickets are $10 for general admission, and $5 for students, faculty, and seniors.
