Mark your Calendars: Staff Appreciation Week Events for Oct. 8-9

The third annual Staff Appreciation Week at the University of Arkansas kicks off Monday, Oct. 9.

Make plans now to join Razorback Athletics as they recognize Staff Appreciation Week during the Razorback vs. South Carolina soccer game at Razorback Field at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8. Single-game tickets are $5, children 17 and under are admitted free and parking is available on the west end of Lot 56 behind the soccer facility.

This game will be their Pink Match presented by Mercy. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink to raise awareness for breast cancer research. In addition to Kids Day Sunday activities, the first 200 kids in attendance will receive a 2017 Razorback Soccer Kids Scarf! Fan promotions surrounding this SEC matchup include a Pink Razorback Soccer Bracelet giveaway to all fans in attendance and Razorback Soccer Socks to the first 200 UA Students.

On Monday, Oct 9, all staff and their families are invited to attend Family Movie Night in The Gardens on Razorback Road. The feature film is Despicable Me 3 (rated PG) produced by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures. This is the third in the series of Despicable Me animations where Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) meets his long-lost charming, cheerful and more successful twin brother Dru (also voiced by Steve Carell) who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.

What's a movie without snacks? Popcorn and soft drinks are also being provided.

Those attending Movie Night are encouraged to be in place by 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics to enjoy! The movie will start at 7 p.m. for 90 minutes of family fun. Free parking is available for this event in Lot 56 on the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard beginning at 5 p.m.
