UAPD to Test RazALERT System Thursday: Will You Get the Message?

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Police will test the RazALERT emergency notification system at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Messages will be sent out by text, email and voice mail to everyone who is signed into the system, and will clearly indicate that this is only a test.

All across campus phones will ring, email notices will ping and cellphones will go off.

If you don’t get an email or campus phone message please contact razalert@uark.edu.

If you don’t get a message by text or on your personal phone then it’s time to sign up or update your personal settings.  

RazALERT (pronounced “raise alert”) is the U of A emergency notification system for any threat to campus safety. It’s also the system that lets you know if classes are cancelled, offices are closed, or if the U of A is opening late because of snow, ice or other bad weather.

The RazALERT system automatically sends email and campus phone messages to the entire campus community, but you have to sign up for emergency texts or calls to your personal phone.

You also have to sign up to receive any type of inclement weather notices – email, phone, or text.

Students can use their UAConnect account to update numbers or addresses, add numbers and sign up for text and inclement weather messages.

Faculty and staff sign up and provide their information through their webBASIS accounts.
