Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition Final Round This Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The final round of the 2017 William H. Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, in the E.J. Ball Courtroom, located on the second floor of Waterman Hall.

University of Arkansas School of Law students Leland Ferguson and Bryan Foster will argue their case against fellow students John Ogle and Jose Ruiz.

The round will be judged by an esteemed panel:

  • The Honorable James Cox, Arkansas Circuit Judge, 12th Judicial Circuit.
  • The Honorable Mark Lindsay, Arkansas Circuit Judge, 4th Judicial Circuit.
  • The Honorable Erin L. Wiedemann, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
  • The Honorable Rhonda K. Wood, Associate Justice, Arkansas Supreme Court.

The event is open to the public, and the campus and legal communities are invited to attend.
