Nominations Requested for U of A Honorary Degree Recipients

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas is seeking nominations for exceptional candidates to receive honorary degrees during future commencement ceremonies.

Everyone is eligible to nominate a living individual who has achieved extraordinary distinction in a career that has affected the lives of others, particularly through scholarly achievement, public service, or philanthropy.

Recent awardees include Anita Huffington, James Patterson, Don Rice, Don Tyson, Isaac Crumbly, Frances James, Gov. Mike Beebe, Alice Walton, Mike Duke, Vincent Gordon Harding, Andrew Hamilton, William T. Dillard II and Judge L. Clifford Davis.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, Nov. 27.
