College of Engineering Names New Director of Communications

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Nick DeMoss has joined the College of Engineering as director of communications. As part of the development and external relations team, he will oversee the strategic communications efforts of the college, working with College of Engineering leaders to advance the program's reputation locally, nationally and internationally. He began his role Dec. 4.

"We are extremely pleased to have Nick as part the college's team. His experience with integrated communications plans and a background in writing made him a natural fit for the position. In the short time he has been with us it is clear he will quickly make a positive impact on our communications," said Emily Wood, director of development and external relations for the College of Engineering.

Prior to joining the College of Engineering, DeMoss was vice president for communications and programs at the Jenks Chamber of Commerce in Jenks, Oklahoma. He has also worked as a newspaper reporter and editor in the Tulsa region.

DeMoss graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas with majors in editorial journalism and French. He is a member of the Alpha of Arkansas chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
