U of A Team Takes First Place at Regional Competition

A team of three University of Arkansas students won first place at the Beta Alpha Psi Southwest Regional meeting in the Best Practices competition last weekend in Oklahoma City.
Beta Alpha Psi is an international honorary society for students of accounting, finance, and information systems.
The Walton College team of Emma Ehlers, Kristin Birkoff and Mia Norton won first place in the "Launching into the Next Century" category and will compete at the National Beta Alpha Psi meeting in Washington, D.C., in August. They competed against teams from 20 schools from across Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico.
Hunter Johnson and Tyalor Atwell made an excellent non-competitive presentation on chapter operations, and Cassidy Cook, Lindsey Isroff and faculty adviser Charles Leflar also attended.
Beta Alpha Psi will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2019. The U of A chapter is one of the oldest active chapters in the nation, having been installed in 1951. The U of A chapter has been named a Superior Chapter, the top competitive level, for more than 20 years in a row.

Spring Bike Drive Refurbishes Old Bikes for New Students
All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
