UAConnect Updates Scheduled During Spring Break

Spring Break will usher in warmer weather and some changes to UAConnect. On March 26, the current method for logging in to UAConnect will move to the new university single sign-on system and an upgrade to the infrastructure that supports UAConnect will occur. In order to make these changes the system will be unavailable to users for a short period of time.

The move to Microsoft Azure, the university's single sign-on system, will bring a marked difference for UAConnect users. When logging in after the upgrade, users will be taken to the new University of Arkansas Sign-In site instead of the familiar red UARK Central Login page. Azure will require the entire email address be entered as the username for all users. It is important to note that students will need to use their @uark.edu address and not @email.uark.edu.

The PeopleTools infrastructure upgrade is focused on the technical side of UAConnect and lays the foundation for system enhancements over the coming months. While functionality will not change with this upgrade, users may notice some subtle differences in the look of the system.

The upgrades will begin at 6 p.m. next Thursday, March 22, when UAConnect will be locked. Any users who are in the system at that time will be sent to a page located outside of UAConnect. Users will be able to log-in to the updated system at 6 a.m. on Monday, March 26. UAConnect Reporting access will be available at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28.
