Get ready to go All In for Arkansas on April 4-5!

At 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, the University of Arkansas will begin its 147th birthday celebration with the launch of "All In for Arkansas," the university's third annual day of giving.

The birthday celebration and online fundraising event is a party with a purpose that lasts 1,871 minutes in honor of the university's founding year of 1871. The event will conclude at 1:11 p.m. on April 5.

It's ALL about participation and rallying the U of A family—on campus and around the world—in an epic outpouring of pride and support.

Faculty, staff and students, mark your calendars and make plans to join in the fun!

  • Attend the on-campus Birthday Bash hosted by the Student Alumni Association, between 12-2 p.m. on April 4 on the Union Mall. There will be free cake, t-shirts, music, party favors, a photo booth and a surprise celebrity guest. Cake will be served at 12:30 p.m. with Chancellor Steinmetz providing All In for Arkansas updates at 1:15 p.m.
  • Make a gift online of any size at allinforarkansas.uark.edu on April 4-5 to your favorite campus cause. From academic programs, library resources and public radio to student scholarships, study abroad and Senior Walk, it's easy to impact the areas of campus that have special meaning to you.
  • Show off your #Allin4Arkansas spirit on social media to help spread the word and inspire an epic outpouring of Arkansas pride. Photo contest winners can bring in "bonus bucks" for their favorite college, school, program or scholarship fund. Check out all the challenges here.

Participation is key to the success of All In for Arkansas, and numerous challenges will be issued throughout the event to encourage gifts of all sizes. The university will do most of the promotion through its social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and through a robust network of Social Media Ambassadors.

Gifts can be made to all areas of campus, including the university's Advance Arkansas scholarship initiative. Advance Arkansas was launched in 2017 with the goal of increasing accessibility for Arkansas students who wish to attend the U of A. During All In for Arkansas, donors will have the unique opportunity to contribute any amount to the Advance Arkansas scholarship program.
