Free Hugs Project Founder Ken Nwadike to Speak Wednesday

University Programs hosts the Free Hugs Project at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom.

Ken E. Nwadike, Jr., is a peace activist, inspirational speaker, and video journalist popularly known as the Free Hugs Guy. Nwadike is the founder of the Free Hugs Project, which gained popularity as he made major news headlines for his peacekeeping efforts and de-escalation of violence during protests, riots, and political rallies. His lecture will focus on the power of showing compassion and kindness to others especially in these times of high tension.
