FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas music major Alicia Jones will be the opening act for Randy Noojin’s ‘Hard Travelin’ with Woody’ performance at the Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 5.

Jones, a native of Atlanta, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated high school before coming to the U of A in 2014.

“I came to the University of Arkansas because I wanted to be close to home and also because there is an amazing business side to learning about the music industry at U of A,” said Jones.

Since she was six years old, Jones has wanted to work in the music industry and now she is pursuing her career as a singer/songwriter. Since enrolling, Jones has performed with the Department of Music’s Inspirational Chorale, University of Arkansas Schola Cantorum, and the Inspire Soul Jazz Band.

This will be her first time opening for a major national production.

Alisha Jones will perform at 7:30 p.m., and Randy Noojin will kick off ‘Hard Travelin’ with Woody at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now for “Hard Travelin’ with Woody”:
