Discover the Beauty of the Philippines at the Holcombe Global Series

Discover the Philippines during this month's Holcombe Global Series.

The presentation starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in Holcombe Hall's living room.

Margaux Florenciano, an international student from the Philippines, will present on her culture, focusing on the country's history, traditions and food.

"There is so much beauty to the Philippines and many current events that people outside the country would find interesting," Florenciano said.

The Philippines is a southeast Asian country in the western Pacific Ocean, comprising more than 7,000 islands.

This event is open to all within the university community. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and engage with the presenters after the presentation. There will be samples of traditional dishes served as well.

Prior countries featured in the Global Series this academic year include India, Japan, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia, Mexico, Russia, Jordan, Moldova, Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
