Housing NWA Design Competition Exhibition Displayed Through May 18 in Bentonville
Projects submitted for the Housing Northwest Arkansas Professional Design Competition are on display through noon Friday at Record in Bentonville.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 25 projects submitted for the Housing Northwest Arkansas Professional Design Competition are on display through Friday, May 18, at Record in downtown Bentonville.
Exhibition hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.
The design competition is the final component of Housing NWA, a three-tiered initiative led by the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and funded through a grant from the Walton Family Foundation.
The competition challenged competitors to develop an innovative and practical proposal for building attainable housing at five different sites in Bentonville. Twenty U.S. firms and five international firms submitted proposals for the juried competition, and the winners were announced on May 10.
The five project sites are on Third Street, Eighth Street, 14th Street, Central Avenue and John Deshields Boulevard.
